Frequently asked questions
Is the cottage pet friendly?
Yes — well-behaved dogs are welcome at no extra charge. We just ask that they stay off the furniture and that you clean up around the property before you leave.
What time is check-in and check-out?
Check-in is from 4:00 PM and check-out is by 11:00 AM. If the cottage is free either side of your stay we are usually happy to be flexible — just ask.
What is your cancellation policy?
Cancel more than 30 days before arrival for a full refund. Within 30 days we refund whatever we manage to rebook. We will always try to find you another week instead.
Is there parking?
Yes, free off-street parking for up to three cars, right beside the cottage. There is room for a boat trailer as well.
How fast is the internet?
Fibre broadband at roughly 100 Mbps down. It handles video calls and streaming without complaint.
Is there a boat launch nearby?
There is a public launch about ten minutes away, and you are welcome to tie up at our dock once you are on the water.
Is there a minimum stay?
Two nights most of the year, and three nights over long weekends and in peak summer weeks.
Is the cottage available in winter?
Yes. It is fully insulated with a wood stove and electric heat, and the driveway is ploughed. Winter is our quietest and cheapest season.
